Inside

Squirreled away in North Cornwall, this beautiful private cottage offers a real getting away from it all location. Rolling hills combine with distant sea views at this cottage where tranquillity reigns. From the country cottage kitchen to the large wood burner in the sitting room and then the pretty bedrooms, this is a comfortable and characterful cottage in which to relax. Benefit from the best of both worlds with country walks or just a few minutes drive to the stunning coastline of Bude, with its choice of beaches.

• Bedrooms: There are two upstairs bedrooms at the property, one twin and one double which share a family bathroom with clawfoot bath and shower over. Underfoot, wooden floorboards combine with colourful rugs, while comfortable mattresses and crisp linens ensure a restful sleep.
• For relaxation: Inside, there’s a large wood burner in the main sitting room, sink onto the comfy leather sofas to relax. If the weather is fine, then you’ll spend hours in the garden, surrounded by beautiful flowers as you take in the rural surrounds and distant sea views, or exploring the local beaches. You’ll really unwind at this tranquil retreat, where the only passing traffic is the local tractor!
• For recreation: If it’s raining outside, then there are plenty of boardgames to keep you occupied indoors, along with internet access (limited) & ipod dock, otherwise don your walking boots and head through beautiful woodland to reach the north Cornish coast.
• Practicalities: There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room outside of the property. There is no dishwasher at the cottage. Off-road parking adjacent to the property for 2 cars.

Outside

The garden is an explosion of colour. The gated and private garden consists of a flat lawn area, patio and picnic table - perfect for al fresco dining! Whether taking in the views, or just reclining in the sun with a good book, peace and quiet reign here. You can walk from the cottage to the coast in less than half an hour; a stunning amble through woodland and fields (do pack your wellies!), Widemouth Bay is just a five minute drive from the cottage.

Food and Wine

• DIY: The hand made kitchen is small but perfectly formed, with characterful oak surfaces.
• In-house cuisine: Everything from a home-cooked meal on arrival, to a scrumptious picnic for a day at the beach can be arranged. Catering is available at an additional cost and is to be arranged direct with the caterers. We are able to provide you with contacts for recommended caterers on request.´
• Eating out: There are a selection of great restaurants to choose from in Bude, from scrumptious fishy dishes at Life's a Beach overlooking Summerleaze Beach to The Bay View Inn at Widemouth Bay for great pub grub and a lovely view.

• By Car: The cottage is around a 4-hr drive from central London.
• By Train: The nearest train station to the property is Exeter, which is around an hour and a half from the cottage

• For those of you who like to stay active during your holiday, you’ll find activities ranging from golf, horse riding and tennis within a short distance of the cottage.
• Surfing: Head to Bude, where the expanse of powdery sand at Widemouth Bay is as perfect for surfing as sunbathing. This is a lifeguarded beach during the summer months, so perfect for families.
• Walking: Leave the car behind and head for a coast path exploration from the cottage. Head through sun-dappled woodland to reach the North Cornish coast, for a spot of rockpooling at Millook or stretch your legs a little more to find a sandy haven.
