Inside

This pretty Cornish holiday cottage is as perfect for a luxury family summer break as a couples winter retreat. Located in the peaceful village of St. Mawgan yet just five minutes from Watergate Bay, this is the ideal pad to kick back and relax in after a day at the beach.

• Style: Country cottage. Comfort reigns in this Cornish cottage; a fusion of slate, wood and pretty fabrics combine.
• Bedrooms: Rose Cottage has three upstairs bedrooms; a twin, a standard double, and a super king bedded room. Comfortable mattresses, crisp linen and muted hues ensure a comfortable night's stay.
  
• Bathrooms: The family bathroom has a bath with shower over; downstairs there's a shower room, perfect for washing the sand off after a day at the beach.
• For relaxation: Head to the sitting room where you can sink into a sumptuous sofa with a good book. As befitting a country cottage, there is restricted head height for those over 6ft downstairs.
• For recreation: This is a property purely for relaxation; and although there's plenty on offer locally - from beautiful walks to adventure sports - the most you'll have to stretch to of an evening is who's on dinner duty. 
• Practicalities: The utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a microwave. There is a computer with free broadband and printer for guest's use in the study. On road parking adjacent to Rose cottage.

Outside

In the outhouse you’ll find everything from a selection of body boards to a paddling pool for use during your stay. The beautiful and private flower-filled garden is idyllic for a spring/summer BBQ as for autumn dining; the heated summerhouse, just a few steps from the back door is an alternative dining area to enjoy.

Food and Wine

• DIY:  The small but perfectly formed kitchen is open plan with the dining room, which means that whoever's on cooking duty won't feel excluded as they conjure up culinary treats for all the family. Slate floors, a Belfast sink and wooden units add to the country cottage feel.

• Eating out: From the local shop that provides delicious picnics for days out, to the award-winning Falcon Pub in St Mawgan, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at nearby Watergate Bay,and foodie-central Padstow within 15 minutes of the cottage, you're spoilt for choice!
